Victoria Navin -- Colorful Houses, Salvador

The exhibit was inspired by Victoria Navin’s August 2017 trip to Brazil, in which she visited Manaus, the Amazon, Brasilia, Salvador, Rio de Janeiro and Foz do Iguacu. The photographs reflect Navin’s enthusiasm for the great natural beauty of Brazil and its colorful, historic architecture.

Victoria Navin -- Copacabana Beach at Dusk, Rio de Janeiro

"A self-taught photographer, I am interested primarily in landscape and natural phenomena. For inspiration, I usually look to trees, rocks and boulders, bodies of water and roofscapes. VIEWS OF BRAZIL offers 23 photographs from an August 2017 trip to Brazil, in which I visited Manaus, the Amazon, Brasilia, Salvador, Rio de Janeiro and Foz do Iguacu. I find inspiration in the lines, planes, spaces, and texture in various natural and man-made structures.

"I am also interested in monumental architecture as well as the smaller details that define a location as unique, such as doors, windows, balconies and streetscapes.
